A desk of contents (TOC) is an inventory of the headings and subheadings in a doc, together with the web page numbers on which they seem. It offers a fast and simple manner for readers to navigate a doc and discover the data they want.
TOCs are particularly helpful for lengthy or complicated paperwork, reminiscent of reviews, books, and educational papers. They may also be useful for displays, web sites, and different paperwork which can be organized into a number of sections.
